9. Neptune Aspects - the Refining of Consciousness.
Neptune-Pluto. Spiritual-sensitivity and wilfulness unite. At its highest, this combination indicates power to ground one's highest aspirations and spiritual ideals and also the potential to become a powerful and influential spiritual leader. But generally, this generation will be impelled to transform the nature of spirituality, of religion and its teachings. If these two planets also aspect personal planets, it can indicate deep and beneficial transformations as a consequence of one's spiritual endeavours (easy aspects); or being manipulated by unscrupulous and possibly dangerous people (hard aspects).
Neptune-Vesta. Sensitivity and purification unite. This is a positive mix of spiritually oriented forces. Vesta can ground the otherwise too subtle Neptune influences and solidify the urge to serve the greater good. For instance, by grounding a wish to help people by actually doing something about it. However, hard aspects can indicate the opposite - a tendency to lose touch with reality. The antidote is to do something tangible and practical, such as with volunteer work.
Neptune-Juno. Spiritual-sensitivity and marriage unite. Easy aspects and the conjunction, indicate that formal relationships will go well because partners will likely share the same ideals, creative or spiritual interests and be similarly sensitive and caring. Such a person is a true “soul mate.” The conjunction and hard aspects indicate problems. Expectations of the partner and marriage are unrealistic and/ or impractical and require a good dose of common sense. There may be betrayal, lies, problems with addiction. Being clear about what is wanted in marriage and whether it is fair and workable, will help matters.
Neptune-Ceres. Spiritual-sensitivity and nurturing unite. Embracing those in one's care with unconditional love and compassion, cultivating artistic or spiritual interests - this is the parenting style with this combination. Growing up in such an environment will help children to express their artistic and spiritual sides. Hard aspects can indicate something perverse or unhealthy in childhood, parents who may have had strange ways or addictions. Subtle abuse is just as damaging for children as physical abuse. The goal is to unconditionally love and accept oneself and others.
Neptune-Pallas. Spiritual-sensitivity and mental-creativity unite. This combination can help to give shape and form to one's spiritual aspirations, Creative ways can be found to worship or revere God or Life or to express artistic talents. For instance, starting a business that teaches or shares such matters, which is both instructive, inspiring and profitable. The problem with the hard aspects and conjunction, is that material considerations could override moral principles.
Neptune-Chiron. Spiritual-sensitivity and healing-wisdom unite. The healing style is intuitive and the needs of the patient are attended to sensitively and compassionately. Childhood wounds that result from this combination, could come from strange childhood experiences that were confusing, perverse happenings, or betrayals by parents with addictions. This is especially so with the conjunction and hard aspects. The emotional damage could be subtle and only start to cause problems later in life. In such a case, learning to trust in oneself, one's inherent worth and ability to stand strong in life will help. Overall, this combination gives the gift of understanding and compassion for people and spiritual healing talent.
Neptune-Nodes. Spiritual-sensitivity and spiritual-progression unite. Neptune type interests such as meditation, healing, service or art; one or more of these will be very important for one's growth and should be pursued. Neptune on the south-node or hard aspects indicates that spiritual growth is being impaired because of emotionalism, by attempting to escape the harsh realitics of life through means such as drugs and alcohol. This all needs to be cleaned up.
Neptune-Asc. Spiritual-sensitivity and new beginnings unite. This combination makes the persona very sensitive. Positively expressed, it gives spiritual discernment and a compassionate urge to help people. At the lower level, it results in emotional hyper-sensitivity and a desire to escape reality through some escapist mcans. Most of us are somewhere in the middle of these two parameters. Hard aspects can manifest as being so naive about life, one becomes a victim of con-artists or of delusion. The spiritual goal is to refine emotional expression so that wisdom and understanding can shine through. Unencumbered by disturbed emotions, it will be easier to see the way forwards in life.
Neptune-MC. Spiritual-sensitivity and higher-goals unite. The higher destiny or career is linked to the expression of one's artistic and creative talents or through avenues that provide expression for the healing or spiritual aspirations. However, hard aspects and the conjunction can confuse or hide high life goals. We can be unclear about what it is we really want to do. A journey of discovery is required to find out what resides in the heart and what it wants to do. In such a case, it is the journey that is important and not the goal.
