8b. Saturn in the Houses.
This is where karma will be met, where we should work hard and shoulder responsibilities without complaint, where we should be scrupulously honest in our responses; and also, where we can achieve stable success through hard work.
Saturn in 1. There is a reserved approach, sometimes a fear of facing life and of progressing forwards. Karma requires a disciplined and responsible approach to life, but not rigidity or being judgmental. Respect will be gained by being prudent and honest with others.
Saturn in 2. Karma requires that we are conservative with resources and disciplined and responsible with personal money. Related fears are - a fear of being poor or deprived, or a fear of not being respected or valued. Prosperity and respect will be gained by developing self-respect, working hard and being very honest in all financial transactions.
Saturn in 3. Karma requires that we are disciplined and responsible in daily communications and with relatives and neighbours; this is the lesson being taught to speak the truth, but not harshly. Harmlessness in thought and speech is the goal. This will win respect so that one's opinions will be valued.
Saturn in 4. There is karma in the home, with the parents and family. Something old, rigid or toxic, needs to be healed or cut away. Often this placement forces us to take on family leadership and responsibility - a karmic debt from a past life. Being honest and fair in all familial interactions will build a solid foundation for the life.
Saturn in 5. There are extra responsibilities with children and lovers, which should be embraced to repay karmic debts. A few with this combination may even be denied children. This does not mean being denied love, light-hearted recreation or joy. Those with this combination just have to earn it by being fair and kind with younger, more vulnerable souls.
Saturn in 6. Being responsible and exact in our daily duties and working hard for a living is required. At some time, those with this combination will be asked to provide very solid support for work-mates and should give this support unstintingly and without hesitation. The development of excellent skills will help build a successful professional life. It is important to be flexible in attitude - a rigid mind equals a rigid body and joints.
Saturn in 7. There is an underlying fear of rejection, both generally and in important partnerships and those with this combination should avoid trying to control others to feel secure. If relationships are a test, there is more to discover about oneself and how to interact in a more balanced manner. Enduring love and loyalty will come when the lesson has been learnt.
Saturn in 8. A rigid pattern of behaviour that has been resistant to change requires adjustment. In some, the misuse of sexual force in past lives will bring consequences so that there are periods of forced celibacy, impotency, frigidity or discase. Karma is trying to balance the scales. Being responsible in the use of force, metaphysical knowledge and with other people's money is required. Success will bring respect, as a healer, psychologist or occultist.
Saturn in 9. There is unfinished karmic business concerning morals, religion or with someone or something that has a foreign connection. The urge to big-note oneself as the expert, the one who knows everything, should be avoided. The wise use of knowledge and learning will bring rewards and respect in academic, religious and spiritual circles - or alternatively, involving a foreign country.
Saturn in 10. Karma is in the professional house, which means the pursuit of fame and glory must be based on integrity and honesty. If not, one may rise to a high place, only to be followed by public humiliation and loss. Humility is required and the responsible use of power. When demonstrated, solid success in the career will follow and respect from the public.
Saturn in 11. There is something to be learnt about the type of group associations that are formed and friends chosen to spend time with. Now the task is to choose associates and groups that are respectable and that abide within the law - or suffer the consequences. Positively, Saturn in the 11th gives the ability to form long-term friendships with honourable people who will be supportive when times are difficult. Success that carries responsibilities in politics is also a possibility.
Saturn in 12. Forced retirement out of the main-stream is an option with this combination. The cause may vary, such as ill health, going to prison (this may be psychological), self-isolation to complete projects or a search for self-understanding. This will give time to reflect on life and any decisions made that were not wise or that need reconstructing. Others may choose to serve quietly behind the scenes, helping souls who are lost or arc seriously ill and who need rehabilitation. This isolation can be temporary, and lay the foundation for a new cycle of positive involvement with life.
