INITIATION DEFINED
Điểm đạo là một vấn đề ngày càng được công chúng biết đến nhiều hơn. Chẳng còn mấy thế kỷ nữa các bí nhiệm thời cổ sẽ được phục hồi, và trong Giáo hội tương lai, mà hạt nhân nay đã tạo lập, sẽ có một nhóm nội môn trong đó cuộc điểm đạo thứ nhất trở nên công truyền; chúng tôi muốn nói là chẳng bao lâu nữa việc điểm đạo lần thứ nhất sẽ là thánh lễ cao nhất của Giáo hội, được thực hiện ở ngoại môn, như là một trong các bí nhiệm được truyền đạt vào những thời kỳ nhất định, với sự tham dự của những người liên hệ. The question anent initiation is one that is coming more and more before the public. Before many centuries pass the old mysteries will be restored, and an inner body will exist in the Church—the Church of the period, of which the nucleus is already forming—wherein the first initiation will become exoteric, in this sense only, that the taking of the first initiation will, before so very long, be the most sacred ceremony of the Church, performed exoterically as one of the mysteries given at stated periods, attended by those concerned. It will also hold a similar place in the ritual of the Masons. At this ceremony those ready for the first initiation will be publicly admitted to the Lodge by one of its members, authorised to do so by the great Hierophant Himself.

When we speak of Initiation, of wisdom, of knowledge, or of the probationary Path, what do we mean? We use the words so glibly, without due consideration of the meaning involved.
